The Society for Empowerment, Welfare, and Action – Knowledge (SEWAK) proudly spearheads the innovative Agriculture Production Cluster (APC) project. This visionary initiative is reshaping the agricultural landscape for small and marginal farmers across Sundargarh, Angul, and Keonjhar districts. Focused within four APC clusters in Balisankara, Tangarpali, Athamallik, and Telkoi blocks, the project is a beacon of transformation and sustainable growth in agriculture.

A Community of Prosperity: 12,000 Farmers, 101 Villages, One Vision

Through the APC project, SEWAK has reached an impressive milestone, encompassing over 12,000 small and marginal farmers from 101 villages. This extensive network fosters a communal spirit among farmers, driving them towards collective success. The formation of 97 Producer Groups underlines our commitment to community-driven progress and shared prosperity.

• Nurturing Agriculture Entrepreneurs: The project emphasizes the promotion of entrepreneurial skills among farmers, paving the way for innovative agricultural ventures.
• Comprehensive Farming Approaches: Agriculture, horticulture, and livestock sectors are harmoniously integrated for a holistic farming experience.
• Farm Mechanization Access: A significant number of 8400 farmers now have access to farm mechanization, revolutionizing their farming practices.

• A remarkable cultivation of vegetables by 11,214 farmers in 2023 hectares of land, marking a sustainable income source and lifestyle upliftment.
• The establishment of fruit orchards across 311.63 hectares by 166 households, diversifying agricultural practices.
• An impressive revenue generation of Rs. 1,97,28,000 through various convergence activities.
• Expansion into pisciculture and mushroom cultivation by 43 and 71 households respectively, showcasing the versatility of our farming community.
• Installation of 14 new solar-powered cold storage facilities, significantly reducing post-harvest losses.
• Enhanced irrigation through the Community River Lift Project and Micro Irrigation techniques, covering 1064.5 acres and enabling double crop cultivation.
• A staggering revenue generation of Rs. 7,25,72,080, underlining the financial success of our initiatives.
